This page would not exist, except that I am told I am to keep new text flying, so this is what has evolved... Indeed, my negligent upkeep
has given way to yet another stretch of untimely postings, and it's old news by now. While I will probably never tackle any less than what
most consider to be a 24-7 position in life, I will do my best to keep this updated for you, dear clients, patrons, family & friends...
THE LORD OF THE RINGS (update) - The Australian authors have completed their book,
dedicated to
the truly brilliant visionary, Peter Jackson.

Daniel Reeve (www.danielreeve.com), who did the calligraphy and cartography work for
the LOTR trilogy, has created the headings, motifs, etcetera for the book, and Jens Hansen-
Gold & Silversmith
(www.jenshansen.com) - the creators of the 'one ring' also featured in the
trilogy - have written the conclusion.

I am honored to have been a part of this, and Kristen and Susannah couldn't have been any nicer!
You can check out my work of
Viggo Mortensen & Liv Tyler, which is featured in the book, here.

SANTA FE - Have you ever walked into a place and instantly knew you were home? For whatever reason, I haven't been to Santa Fe
since I was a child, so I guess 'when the student is ready, the teacher shall appear' applies...

Entering the gift shop of the first Santa Fe mission I came upon, my eyes immediately became fixated upon a large, hand-made cross
created from patinaed copper I simply had to have. I've collected unique, eclectic crosses all my life, and this one definitely spoke to me.
Surprisingly, it was the *only* one I brought back with me from my trip.

I ended up conversing a good half hour with the immensely-petite, kind lady who sold it to me, and we enjoyed laughing and sharing our
stories. Upon the closing of our conversation, I entered the small church. I didn't comprehend what had come over me initially, but my
eyes welled up with tears immediately, barely even setting foot in the place. I fought them back, but to no avail. An immensely-warm
sensation flowed throughout my body, and something was insistent in telling me, 'you're home'. I found that strange, as I'm not Catholic.
I consider myself spiritually eclectic, always feeling the presence of God - this life force―so almighty, omnipotent, and so
powerful, within and above us all
- and especially after a long excursion on my deathbed - experiencing what I did - to think
there is non-existance, or that we are unaccountable and independent of such is only ignorant, pompous & arrogant.
Still―never
have I felt any type of feeling, or sensation, from the various Catholic churches I've been in... There was beautiful warmth and love in this
church, however, and everything felt
right - feeling so grounded, yet light as a feather - as I was gazing around at the ancient white, adobe
walls, adorned by ornately-carved beams, vigas, and corbels similar to those in my own home―light dancing upon them from the
numerous candles lit.
The San Miguel Mission Chapel de Santa Fe is believed to be the oldest church in the
United States, and to me, it
spoke volumes in being so pure, and so real, like a house of
worship is supposed to be: simplistic & small; nothing fancy; nothing intimidating; the
welcoming of God's creatures, and most importantly, nothing commercial: No hyped-up
marketing tactics; no televised shows or "clubs"; no large auditoriums or big screens

making the pastor, or priest, out to be more of a
celebrity than what he or she is actually
intended to be;
no restaurants in the basements charging - or asking for a donation - for
something as little as a cup of coffee - espresso, or not - and
no $10,000 suits, all of which I
simply refuse to accept, appreciate or honor.
What a pleasant diversion the San Miguel
Mission was from many of the churches of today!

Spirit has always surrounded me with white light - keeping me safe through situation and
turmoil - but it was at this point that (any form of) "religion" was washed aside, and Light &
Spirit had truly immersed me... I stayed inside the chapel for 20 minutes, the whole time my
dog somehow
knowing she was not to bark at the clergyman's cat - amazingly-enough - and
just let the tears flow, taking everything in. It was one of the best wholly-emotional feelings -
not to mention gestalt - in the world...

(kitty comes with)
Immediately upon my exit, the tears stopped, just as quickly as they had originated, and I
began to realize the numerous individuals around me. I walked outside, and to further my
amazement were more of God's beautiful creatures: three birds, each perched upon the
ends of the mission's steeple, forming the trinity. The skies were as blue as could be, and
there was a warm, gentle breeze carrying delicate scents of red roses and geraniums in
bloom. The streets were clear, and the
town was quiet and peaceful, exuding a sense of
slowness so many of us need in our lives
, more than we might realize. Yes - I was
home, indeed...

The architecture of both churches & missions has always fascinated me, as I find them so
unique and so beautiful; hence, I make it a point to visit them wherever my travels take
me. Two sketches of Southwestern missions were made back in the 90's, and I hope to
someday complete them, bringing them to life with the luminosity of paint... perhaps I'll
publish them to this site someday.

EMILY - I encourage you to read a very special story I've written about 16-year old, "Down Syndrome -
Outsider Artist", Emily. We are pleased to have been the first to showcase this young artist in our art &
furnishings emporium the beginning of 2005.
PERSUASION, PASSION AND INSPIRATION -  My work is a reflection of specific persuasion, creating drive & passion for me.
Every genre of music from
tobyMac (dc talk)'s, "Extreme Days" to Wilshire's, "Special" to Puddle of Mudd's, "Blurry", Salt's,
"Bluster", and anything by
Garbage, Otmar Leibert, and Vehkavaara & Pilch moves me to create. (Let us never forget
Robert Smith/The Cure.) Diverse architecture & design; the lines, texture and history of primordial and international furnishings;
beautiful women;
God 's creatures and exotic travels consume me, initiating creativity further enhanced by the stimulation of sound.

My late
father and my husband - my true heroes whom are/were incredibly-talented individuals - serve to lend great inspiration and
influence in so much that I do in life. As well, I am completely engulfed in the brilliant discoveries and fearless writings of
Dr. Hulda Clark, N.D., Ph.D., the illustrious, authentic & timeless designs of Fari, and the ethereal, artistic inspiration aspired from
Viggo Mortensen and Robert Vavra. I both honor and respect culture & tradition (a celebration of diversity), yet my inherent
rebelliousness and independence leads me to a fervent propensity to continually jet outside the box solely from a personal level.

I reject the mainstream mindset that competition and the
perpetual plagiarizing of others - deceptively turning the tables in a dramatic and
futile attempt to parade as victim - is the avenue to get ahead and somehow proves a point. This is not only transparent and limited, but
re-defines "delusional grandeur" with all its self-deprecating glory.
True artistry is mature; exhibiting real & honest beauty derived from
independence in competing with the *
self* - improving the self - aborting ambivalence resulting from such wasted time with illusionary
thinking.

Equally repudiated is the adulterated greed & fraudulence behind manufacturing companies demonstrating savvy marketing in support of
their artificial, processed "food", vehemently pushing their product on an innocent public, harming our future generations. I have
personally consumed healthy, healing, organic & hormone-free foods and products since 1986; hence, I fully condone ethical &
responsible farming practices benevolently aimed at preserving our precious environment and improving the overall health of the human
race. As well, my work with regard to the
traditional medical establishment, media, environmental agencies and pet food industry
leads me to passionately strive to inform, educate, and take a pro-active stance by exposing TRUTH when it comes to the rights and
well-being of others. (Where can this girl sign up to buy more time??)

We are placed on this great earth to
LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH, TEACH, HELP, RESPECT, and I find blissful enjoyment in taking these to
the extreme. I am a passionate, life-long, yet selective collector of unusual, eclectic crosses; exotic, ancient swords and Central &
South American Machetes; rare sports cars - upon driving - (
Ferrari's; Maserati's; Porsches; Jags (on & off) - I've also owned and dig
Jeeps ("it's a jeep thing..."), trucks & 'stangs - the latter I like to borrow from my hip & beautiful, classy-while-hot rodding,
70-something mother); fine, abstract art; vampire flicks, and I have a very-desirable, diverse collection of exotic & mod' boots (cowboy;
combat; riding; hiking; gypsy; go-go's; stilettos,...) - my undeniable, unmistakable fetish!
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
It is the source of all true art and science."

THE ARTIST AND THE "HOME STUDIO" - Santa Fe has always been known to inhabit people who'll show their art in the basements
and studios of their apartments and homes. When my husband and I were there, we were astounded by just how many, and probably 30%
of them were women!

Between having
attorneys in the family and numerous, personal clients and friends & neighbors in law enforcement/detective fields,
personally engaging in self-defense and firearm courses, and listening to countless 911 tapes, I can tell you opening your homes to others -
male
OR female - husband present or not, is only asking for problems. I have spoken to many an artist about this and would hope more
consider the possible implications of such.
I know firsthand retail space does not come cheap, but there are other avenues
available besides a "home studio" open to others...
Be well, live passionately, and enjoy creating your art.
THE MYSTERIOUS: SYMBOLS & PHRASES - In the variables of my art, you will find many
symbols. I utilize numbers, among other things, coupled with the fact I'm a "9", numerically,
which I use allusively and representationally. Quite often, you will need to look very closely to find
the
cross
