Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I'm still in High school and exams are coming up so i've been pretty busy. I go to Saint
John High, it's in New Brunswick. I'm taking and Ib art class and was doing some research for one of my paintings when i came across
your site. i read every word and i just wanted to leave a little story behind to show that good things can happen, and that there are cases
where there are survivors like my Elway. By the way, I saw the pictures of your dogs - they're adorable. Again i'm sorry about the lack
of speed. But you said you wanted to hear the rest of my story? Well... ok.
My dog's name is Elway (yes after the football player... i know... crazy) and he's a black labrador retriever. He's a pretty crazy dog, never
stops wagging his tail. But anyway, he wasn't always so happy. Before he came to us ( we got him when he was three... he's now nine)
he lived with some old guy who's name i can't recall. Anyway, this man just left Elway outside all day and night in a little kennel
he kept after his springer spaniel died. It was really too small for Elway. Anyway, Elway never really got the proper care he
should have, sometimes the owner even forgot to feed him. By the time he came to us, Elway was so skinny, and very sick. Anyway
he moved in with us and got better and things were good. Until last year. Elway started throwing up all the time, and he wasn't acting like
himself. He just slept all day, and never smiled. So finally we took him to the vet and he was suffering from some sort of liver infection.
The vet said it was because his immune system wasn't as strong as it should've been. So we put him on antibiotics, and he got better. But
we have to be very careful with his health because the vet said he's more susceptible to diseases than other dogs. I just wanted to tell
you about Elway so that maybe other owners can see how fragile our pets are, and maybe they'll treat their animals better than
my Elway was treated. Anyway that's my story. I'd love to hear from you again, and thank you for your patience in waiting for my
